Shalom Edmonton

The Jewish Federation of Edmonton undertook in 2006 a new project called "Shalom Edmonton". This initiative has one major goal which drives our volunteers - to encourage immigration to Edmonton.

Shalom Edmonton is initiativing the development and implementation of strategies for the growth and renewal of our Jewish community. In conjunction with our synagogues, schools, Jewish Family Services and other organizations, this effort to encourage new individuals and families to move to Edmonton will enhance and enrich our community.

Our dedicated volunteers, through their committees, welcome newcomers and assist in linking them to community resources. Please let us know if you are new to the communtiy or wish to obtain information about Jewish Edmonton.

As a committee of the Jewish Federation of Edmonton, our aim is to provide newcomers with assistance in their move to Edmonton. Through our volunteers, we are able to provide welcoming services, information about housing, employment, and community services. We are very grateful for the offer of your hospitality. more
